Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
This is a plain-language privacy policy for PredictionStreet. It is provided in good faith as a general template and is not legal advice; if you have specific legal requirements you should have it reviewed before relying on it.
1. Who we are
PredictionStreet (“we”, “us”) is an educational equity-research training tool operated by an individual sole operator. For the purposes of UK/EU data protection law, that operator is the “data controller” for the personal data described here.
If you have any questions about this policy or want to exercise your rights, contact us at support@predictionstreet.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
- Account details. When you sign in, our login provider (Auth0) gives us your email address and name. We use these to identify your account.
- Your activity in the app. When you complete a case, we save your attempt: your Buy/Hold/Sell call, price target, conviction, the written thesis you submit, and the score you earned. This is what powers your “My results” history.
- Payment details. If you purchase the one-time unlock, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we keep only a Stripe reference (customer/checkout id), the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps) generated automatically when you use the site.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To provide the service — run your account, save your results, and show your history. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To take payment and unlock paid content. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure and working (logs, abuse prevention). Legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Auth0 (by Okta) — handles sign-in and your login session. Their privacy policy.
- Neon — hosts our PostgreSQL database, which stores your account and your saved case attempts. Their privacy policy.
- Stripe — processes payments. Their privacy policy.
- Anthropic — for paying users, our AI grading feature sends the case data and the text of your written thesis to Anthropic’s Claude model to produce feedback. We do not send your name or email. Their privacy policy.
- Google Cloud — hosts the application. Their privacy notice.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK/EEA (for example in the United States). Where that happens, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and your saved results for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it (subject to any records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons, such as proof of a payment). Server logs are retained for a limited period and then discarded.
7. Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing; and
- complain to a data protection regulator — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
To exercise any of these, email us at support@predictionstreet.co.uk. We’ll respond within the time limits the law requires.
8. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in — no tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie notice for details.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
PredictionStreet is an educational tool. Nothing in the app is financial advice.
